The Drug Control Section under the Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that the industries that use acid and other harmful chemicals will only be allowed to use such chemicals in the required amount as per Section (5) of the Acid and Other Harmful Chemicals (Regulation) Ordinance 2077 BS.
The ordinance issued on September 28, 2020, to regulate the production, issuance, peddling, sales, distribution, storage and usage of acid and other harmful chemicals came into effect from March 29, 2021, the notice states.
If any industry needs to use acid and other harmful chemicals for industrial purpose, it will require to submit an application to the ministry in the specimen mentioned below.
