The 37th meeting of the Nepal Academy Council, held today, approved the budget and program for the current financial year after the government of Nepal allocated less budget than in the past.
Prof. Jagat Prasad Upadhyay, Member Secretary of the Foundation, informed that the Assembly passed the budget of Rs. 30 Crore 20 lakh and 42 thousands. Upadhyay said that since it would be difficult to meet the regular obligations of the employees including 15 percent increase in salary and gratuity from the said budget, additional funds have been requested from the government.
