8 years ago, an agreement was signed between the Kathmandu Metropolitan City and a private businessman to build and operate the Kathmandu Tower for 30 years on a public-private basis.
It is mentioned in the 59th report of the Auditor General that the construction was not done according to the terms of the agreement and the work plan. Similarly, 1 crore 7 lakh rupees is still to be recovered from Akash Bridge. Kathmandu Metropolitan City has contracted with a company for the operation of overhead crossing bridges, so the protection and cleaning of 6 overhead crossing bridges built according to the system has not been done.
The new bus park agreement is not governed by the master plan. Similarly, 7 crores 2 lakh 54 thousand rupees have not been recovered from the bus park.
