Kathmandu-8 to be established as the heritage capital

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, has vowed to establish Kathmandu constituency-8 as the capital of heritages.

Also a candidate of the left-democratic alliance from this constituency, Shrestha said he would play a leading role to develop this constituency as a tourism area. He would take initiative to complete the construction works of the heritage route from Hanumandhoka to Swayambhu, he added.

Minister Shrestha in his commitment paper mentioned the launch of a campaign to harvest rainwater, the formulation of a necessary policy to establish the tourism business as the industry as well as the arrangement of tourism-related training for youths to make them skilled and capable.

He expressed commitment to arranging skill-oriented training for youths for promoting self-employment.
