MUGLIN: The Muglin-Naubise road section will be closed for three hours each day, for a period of five days, beginning today (Sunday).
According to the Nagdhunga-Muglin Road Project, the closure will take place from 11 am to 2 pm daily to allow for essential road upgrades, including rock cutting at Pokharebhir and Bishaltar.
Bijay Darai, an engineer with the Nagdhunga-Muglin Road Project West Section, explained that the District Safety Committee had approved the closure to ensure the necessary improvements are carried out on the road.
During the closure, designated areas will be provided for both heavy and light vehicles to stop.
Heavy vehicles traveling towards Gajuri from Naubise will stop at Galchhi-Baireni, while light vehicles will halt at Jarekhet for the work at Pokharebhir.
Similarly, heavy vehicles coming from Chitwan to Naubise will stop at Chalise, and light vehicles at Ghatbesi.
For improvements at Bishaltar, heavy vehicles entering Malekhu from Muglin will be stopped at Majhimtar, and light vehicles at Charaudi Bazaar.
In the same way, vehicles traveling from Malekhu to Muglin will have heavy vehicles stopped at Benighat Bazaar and light vehicles at Bishalaltar.
Ambulances and security vehicles will be allowed to pass through the closure areas in a coordinated manner.
The District Traffic Police Office, Dhading, has urged all drivers to follow lane discipline when stopping or driving during the closure period.
