Second day of prohibitory order in Kathmandu

Traffic and public movement restricted in Kathmandu during prohibitory order

To curb the spread of the new variant of the coronavirus, which is putting a strain on health care facilities of Nepal, the District Administration Office of Kathmandu and other districts have imposed a prohibitory order for 15 days.

Around 4,500 security personnel have been deployed by District Administration Office, Kathmandu to halt the unnecessary movement of vehicles and people. Security personnel have been deployed to enforce strict monitoring of people and vehicle movement in Kathmandu. 

Similarly, 4,070 people were held by Nepal Police on April 29, the first day of the prohibitory order, for flouting the rules of the order. 

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry has urged the people to cooperate with the government to curb the spread of this deadly variant virus.
