The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Park Tae-Young met with the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Krishuna Hari Pushkar, and discussed ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries, including current issues on development cooperation and revising bilateral agreements.
Ambassador Park highlighted that the Korean Government has consistently provided diverse assistance to Nepal’s development, emphasizing having designated Nepal as a “Priority Cooperation Country” in development cooperation. He also asked for the Ministry’s support and attention to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries as 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Nepal.
Secretary Pushkar appreciated the Korean Government’s assistance, especially in the agriculture, health, and environment sectors, and support by providing recruitment opportunities for Nepali youths through EPS.
