The Lalitpur Metropolitan City is going to close all non-essential services from Monday.
The office said in a statement that it was shutting down all non-essential services as its employees were undergoing treatment and home isolation after being infected with COVID.
Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan said that most of the people's representatives and employees were infected.
He said, "We could not operate all the services from the office staff only, so we only operated certain services for a few days. We apologize for the inconvenience caused."
