Kathmandu police arrested a man in possession of controlled pharmaceutical drugs in Chandragiri Municipality-2.

The arrested has been identified as Surya Pratap Singh (27) of Rajbiraj Municipality-3, Saptari district. Singh was possessing 40 ampoules of Legesic, Phenergan. He was also carrying 370 Nitravet tablets and 418 Spasmo capsules.

Singh was travelling on a bus (NA 8 KHA 8764) that was en route to Kathmandu from Biratnagar. Security personnel deployed from Nagdhunga Check Point apprehended Singh with drugs during a routine check from Nagdhunga on Saturday.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is being carried out, informed the police.
