With the sudden change in weather, air pollution level has increased in Kathmandu valley. This may cause respiratory problems and lead to other health-related problems, the Ministry of Health and Population cautioned today.
The MoHP has hence urged people to not involve in outdoor activities including jogging and morning walk. It has further appealed to compulsorily use masks and adopt health guidelines. The authorities have also urged people to take care of children and senior citizens and others suffering from long-term diseases.
Issuing a directive, the MohP has appealed to people not to burn the wastes and also encourage others in society not to burn the waste.
Likewise, those involved in the construction works who have to deal with dust and smoke have also been urged to halt the work for a few days.
Moreover, the health ministry has also urged people only to drive or ride vehicles when necessary.
The statement further states,"Let us minimise air pollution and save self and others from the effects of pollution on health."
