Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has come under the contact tracing as a minister and a CPN-UML member who came in his contact tested positive for coronavirus.
Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has been admitted to Birendra Hospital for the treatment of COVID-19 after he and his spouse tested positive for the disease on Monday. Likewise, CPN-UML leader Bishnu Rijal has also said admitted that he tested positive for coronavirus.
Minister Rayamajhi and Rijal were present in the emergency meeting of the CPN-UML 10th general convention organising committee chaired by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held at his official residence in Baluwatar on Sunday.
During the meeting, leader Rijal had come in contact with five other leaders including PM's press coordinator Surya Thapa and had taken a photo with them without wearing mask.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt that more than 50 other leaders present at the meeting are under contact tracing.
