Police have arrested five persons on Saturday afternoon while they were gambling at the house of Suraj Tandukar in Bhedasingh of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-24.
Upon receiving the news that gambling was taking place in the house, the police deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Janasewa, found them gambling and arrested them along with Rs 231,000, 19 packs of playing cards and 16 sets of kauda (gambling dices).
Police are conducting further investigation in this regard.
