Police personnel detained a man who was going to receive a cargo of brown heroin at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, on Wednesday.
The arrested has been identified as Amrit Bhatta Chhetri (30) of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-8 in Chitwan, currently residing in Tokha Municipality of Kathmandu.
Acting on a tip-off, that Ramesh Poudel had sent a cargo of the narcotics from Chitwan to Kathmandu via the flights of Buddha Air, a team deployed from Narcotics Control Bureau Control (NCB) of Nepal Police seized the bag containing one gram of brown heroin.
Chhetri was arrested while he went to receive the cargo of the illegal drug on Wednesday evening.
Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
