Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has awarded the 'Nepal Music and Drama National Pragya Puskar-2079' to the leading creators of Nepali music and theater. The award, dedicated by the Nepal Music and Drama Foundation, was presented to six creators at a ceremony held on Tuesday at the Vice President's House in Lainchour, Kathmandu.
Among those honored and awarded are Vijaya Kumar Shrestha, a senior musician in the field of traditional and classical music, Ganesh Rasik, a senior singer, lyricist and musician in the field of music, theater critic and researcher Prof. Dr. Ramchandra Pokharel in the field of drama. Similarly, there is senior dance director Kulman Nepali for dance, senior folk singer Naveen Kishore Rai for folk music and senior actor Bhairav Chhetri for stage genre.
