Two months ago Sanu Kanchi Tamang and her family started a shop to roast peanuts and now each member has their own responsibility.
Talking about the process of making, Tamang explains, “We get the peanuts from Sarlahi, and then my brother roasts it, all of us go through it after to check if they are over-roasted, and then my father sell it to other vendors,” she explained.
They sell two types of peanuts: a roasted one and a regular one. “Regular peanuts are bought by devotees to offer to gods. And during winter, most of the people stay in the sunlight and enjoy the roasted peanuts,” she says.
