India reports 10,549 new COVID cases on Friday

India's COVID-19 tally rose to 34,555,431 on Friday, as 10,549 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours across the country, the federal health ministry's latest data showed.

Besides, another 488 deaths due to the pandemic have been reported since Thursday morning, taking the total death toll to 467,468.

There are still 110,133 active COVID-19 cases in the country as there was a rise of 193 active cases during the past 24 hours.

A total of 33,977,830 people have been successfully cured and discharged from hospitals so far, out of which 9,868 were discharged during the past 24 hours.
