18,000 Kalikot children to be given Moderna vaccine

More than 18,000 children in Kalikot will be vaccinated against the coronavirus.

According to the District Public Health Office, Kalikot, 18,167 children in the age group of 12 to 17 years will be given the first dose of Moderna vaccine.

According to the office, in the nine local levels of the district, the numbers of children are: 1,722 in Shubhakalika, 2,079 in Mahawai, 3,696 in Narharinath, 2,091 in Pachaljharna, 2,777 in Palanta and 2,507 in Sanni Triveni and 3,544 in Khandachakra and 3,303 in Raskot 24,611 in Tilagufa municipality. The aim is to give the first dose to 18,167 children, said Katak Bahadur Mahat, Acting Manager of District Public Health Office, Kalikot.

 He informed that the meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee discussed the review of the vaccination campaign against COVID and the modern vaccination campaign for the age group of 12 to 17 years to be conducted on December 12-14.

The vaccination orientation program has been completed and the health workers and health volunteers in the villages who have acquired vaccination skills will be mobilized, said Acting Manager Mahat. He said that modern vaccines will be available in more than 120 vaccination centers in all the nine local levels of the district.
