20 million vaccines administered in Nepal

Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, the Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, said that 20 million doses of vaccines against coronavirus have been administered in Nepal. According to him, 20,223,422 vaccines have been administered.

Out of the 20 million, 11,066,464 people have been vaccinated with one dose and 9,168,358 people received the second dose. Most have been vaccinated on Friday. According to him, 329,321 people were vaccinated on Friday alone. The government has made arrangements to provide vaccines to 200,000 people daily.

The government has been conducting a vaccination campaign against the coronavirus since last January. At present, all the citizens are being vaccinated by the government by purchasing and bringing through the Covax facility. Of the target, 55.5 percent have been vaccinated with the first dose and 46 percent with the full dose. The government aims to vaccinate 19,922,164 people in Nepal. Dr. Adhikari, the Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry, said that 29,453,730 vaccines have been received.
