The rate of recovery from coronavirus infection in Nepal is 75.5 per cent, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The Ministry stated that out of 413 thousand 111 infected so far, 312 thousand 19 people have recovered and returned home, including 9,483 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours.
Two hundred and twenty-five persons died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. This is the highest number of deaths from coronavirus infection and the death toll reached this figure on the basis of the dead bodies managed by the Nepali Army, the statistics shared by COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre showed.
A total of 4,084 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the country so far, including the 225 deaths reported today.
More than 500 infection cases in 30 districts
Similarly, the number of districts with more than 500 cases of infections has reached 30. They include Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Rautahat, Dhanusha, Parsa, Bara, Mahottari, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Kavrepalanchok, Makawanpur, Dhading, Nuwakot, Kaski, Gorkha, Nawalparasi- Bardaghat East, Dang, Banke, Rupandehi, Palpa, Bardia, Kapilbastu, Nawalparasi- Bardaghat Susta West, Surkhet, Kailali, Kanchanpur and Baitadi.
1,084 infected persons in ICU and 290 on ventilator support
It is said 1,084 infected persons are in ICU while 290 are on ventilator support. One hundred and twenty seven patients are being treated in ICU in Province no 1, sixty in Province no 2, 529 in Bagmati Province, 82 in Gandaki Province, 160 in Lumbini Province, 102 in Karnali Province and 24 in Sudurpaschim Province.
Similarly, 29 patients are on ventilator support in Province no 1, 37 in Province no 2, one hundred and eighty-four in Bagmati Province, 11 in Gandaki Province, 13 in Lumbini Province, eight in Karnali Province and eight in Sudurpaschim Province.
