More than 38,000 children vaccinated

More than 38,000 children at the age of 12 to 17 have been given Moderna vaccine at schools of Tanahu. The government has instructed to conduct vaccination campaign for children in different districts of the country.

Health Officer Shankar Babu Adhikari informed that 38,374 children in the age group will be vaccinated. He said that arrangements have been made for vaccination in Bhanu Municipality and Bandipur Municipality on Wednesday and in the remaining municipalities from Thursday and Friday.

All the 10 local levels of the district have started vaccinating the school children on the first day as per the vaccination campaign. Orientation has been provided to health workers at all local levels for the vaccination campaign for children. 10 thousand 243 students and 10 thousand 743 others will be vaccinated in Beas municipality.

In Bhanu municipality, vaccination has been started for 5 thousand 23 people including 4 thousand 713 students and 310 others. Similarly, in Shuklagand Municipality, 7,200 students, 300 others and 7,500 children will be vaccinated. Three thousand 15 students will be vaccinated in Bhimad Municipality. One thousand 506 students will be employed in Myagde village, one thousand 570 students in Ghiring village and 45 others, one thousand 615 students, two thousand 206 students in Rishing village and two thousand 300 people including 94 others.

One thousand 554 students in Devghat village municipality, one thousand 957 children in Bandipur village municipality and three thousand 61 students in Aanbukhaireni village municipality and three thousand 161 people including 100 others will be vaccinated. The government has urged the children to be vaccinated with confidence as the vaccine is completely safe. The second dose should be given within 28 days after the first dose of Moderna vaccine.
