Eye diseases are now being treated at the state hospital in Birendranagar. The hospital has stated that it is preparing to provide opioid services related to eye diseases from Sunday.
According to Dr. Dambar Khadka, director of the hospital, treatment will be provided by an ophthalmologist from 9 am to 4 pm on Sunday. The hospital will be staffed by two specialist doctors. Director Khadka claims that this is the first provincial hospital in Nepal to provide eye-related services from the government-owned provincial hospital.
The Ministry of Social Development had allocated Rs.2 millions for the campaign.
