Nepal is on the list of countries with a high percentage of vaccinations

Nepal has also become one of the countries in South Asia where a large percentage of the population is vaccinated after the government gave free vaccination against covid. The government has set a target of vaccinating all citizens above 18 years of age by mid-April. So far, 71 percent have been vaccinated with first and 61 percent have been vaccinated with both.

After the election of Sher Bahadur Deuba as the Prime Minister, Nepal has risen to the position of a large percentage of people in South Asia to be vaccinated against covid. Vaccine management has become more efficient as vaccine procurement has accelerated since Prime Minister Deuba took over the government, vaccination centers have been expanded as per the need and vaccination manpower has been greatly increased.

Currently, the first and second doses of Covishield / AstraZeneca and Sinopharm are being administered in all the states, while the first dose of modern vaccine is being given in 57 districts. In-State 1, 75 percent of the citizens above 18 years of age have been vaccinated for the first time and 60 percent have been fully vaccinated. Similarly, in Madhes, 61 percent have been vaccinated for the first time while 53 percent have been fully vaccinated.

Similarly, in Bagmati province, 86 percent have applied the first dose and 80 percent full dose, in Gandaki province 83 percent have applied the first dose and 89 percent have applied full dose. In Lumbini, 75 percent have been vaccinated for the first time and 65 percent for the full dose, while in Karnali, 57 percent have received the first dose, 55 percent have received the full dose and in the Far Western Province, 64 percent have received the first dose.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the total number of people vaccinated against corona has reached 13.1 million six thousand 726 as of January 25. Out of that, the number of people who use a full dose of Covisild is 29 lakh 17 thousand 304 while the number of people who use a full dose of Verosel is 78 lakh 21 thousand 406. Similarly, while 23 lakh 24 thousand 807 people use the full dose of Johnson, 43 thousand 209 people use the full dose of Pfizer.

Similarly, 1,63,33,937 people have been vaccinated against corona for the first time. Of them, Covisild 45 lakh 30 thousand 787, Verosel 97 lakh 46 thousand 270, and Pfizer 259 thousand 940 have applied the first dose. Similarly, 17 lakh 96 thousand 940 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of Moderna. Apart from this, the government is also giving free booster doses to the citizens working in frontline and essential services. So far, 223,944 people have been given booster doses.

Of the total population, 43 percent have received the full dose of the vaccine, 54 percent have received the first dose, and 61 percent, including Johnson, have received at least the first dose of the vaccine. Of these, 66 percent of people over the age of 18 have received the full dose of vaccine and 73 percent have received the first dose. Similarly, 53 percent of 12 to 17 year olds have applied the first dose while zero point 1 percent have applied the full amount.
