The Vaccine Investigation Committee formed by the
Ministry of Health and Population has stated that 56,908 vaccines have been wasted. In the report submitted by the coordinator of the committee Dr. Gunaraj Lohani to the Minister for Health and Population Virodh Khatiwada, it is mentioned that 56,908 amount of
vaccine has been wasted till January 6.
The committee had submitted the report to Minister Khatiwada on Monday. After submitting the report, it was made public only today. According to the report prepared by the committee, 45.78 million vaccines have been received so far. Similarly, 3,38,26,330 vaccines have been administered and 1,23,37,665 vaccines are in stock.
Analyzing all the details in the report, it is mentioned that the number of vaccinations has increased by 455,355. According to the report of the Vaccine Investigation Committee against
Covid-19, the vaccination campaign could not be fully organized.
According to the report, some people complained that the vaccine against Covid was free of charge. It is said that the
Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority is investigating this. According to the report, the vaccination campaign program was also implemented by people other than the targeted campaign." People who have been vaccinated before appear to have received the first booster without an official decision on the booster dose," the report said. A study of on-site observation interactions and reference materials conducted at different places showed that 11 people were also
vaccinated with 10 doses of vial.
The report states that in some district and local level transfer form inventory and records of vaccination details have not been regularly and fully updated, the vaccinating health institution has not fully used the register to keep records of vaccination coverage. In the report, only seven states, 77
districts, and 744 local levels have provided details of vaccination.

According to the report, Sidingwa Municipality of Taplejung, Tarkeshwar, and Chandragiri Municipalities of Kathmandu, Khanikhola, Bethanchowk, and Temal Municipalities of Kavre, Indrasarovar, Raksirang, and Kailash Municipalities of
Makwanpur has not been able to submit the details of vaccination yet.
The Ministry of Health and Population had formed a five-member vaccination investigation committee on January 29 under the coordination of Dr. Lohani, the chief expert of the ministry.
