Vaccine investigation report: 56,908 amount of vaccine wasted

The Vaccine Investigation Committee formed by the Ministry of Health and Population has stated that 56,908 vaccines have been wasted. In the report submitted by the coordinator of the committee Dr. Gunaraj Lohani to the Minister for Health and Population Virodh Khatiwada, it is mentioned that 56,908 amount of vaccine has been wasted till January 6.

The committee had submitted the report to Minister Khatiwada on Monday. After submitting the report, it was made public only today. According to the report prepared by the committee, 45.78 million vaccines have been received so far. Similarly, 3,38,26,330 vaccines have been administered and 1,23,37,665 vaccines are in stock.

Analyzing all the details in the report, it is mentioned that the number of vaccinations has increased by 455,355. According to the report of the Vaccine Investigation Committee against Covid-19, the vaccination campaign could not be fully organized.

According to the report, some people complained that the vaccine against Covid was free of charge. It is said that the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority is investigating this. In the report, only seven states, 77 districts, and 744 local levels have provided details of vaccination.

The Ministry of Health and Population had formed a five-member vaccination investigation committee on January 29 under the coordination of Dr. Lohani, the chief expert of the ministry.
