Police personnel were mobilised to intensify the search for the crown (Mukut) of an idol of a deity at Chinnamasta Sakhadeshwori temple in Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality, Saptari district.
The precious crown made of silver had gone missing since 7:15 pm on Sunday. A team led by Chief District Officer Jayanarayan Acharya with Superintendant of Police Rajendra Prasad Dahamala and DSP Madhav Prasad Kafle reached the sire.
In order to intensify the search, the border area of the district including the temple site has been sealed off.
