The Nepalese Embassy in Berlin has requested the Nepalese people living in Ukraine to go to Slovakia, Poland or Hungary.
The embassy requested that the two countries open the border on humanitarian grounds for foreign nationals stranded in Ukraine.
The embassy has requested all Nepalis who have come in contact to return to Nepal safely or leave Ukraine and go to the afore-mentioned countries. In a statement issued on Friday, the embassy said that 193 Nepalis in Ukraine have been contacted so far.
"Neighboring countries bordering Ukraine- the Republic of Slovakia, Poland and Hungary have opened their border to foreign nationals wishing to leave Ukraine. Therefore, we request all those who can enter those countries to immediately go there in order to safely return to Nepal." the statement said.
The embassy has requested Nepalis to keep in touch in case of any problem regarding passport or travel permit to reveal one's identity while entering the border.
