12 point COVID control order in Surkhet

The District Administration Office, Surkhet, has issued a 12-point order with effect from midnight due to the increasing COVID cases. Chief District Officer Khagendra Prasad Rijal issued the order using after the recommendation of the Covid Crisis Management Centre Center (CCMC), the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Infectious Diseases Act and the authority given by the Local Administration Act.

In the order issued by Rijal, it is mentioned that large gatherings are not to be held, and also action will be taken against those who create an artificial shortage in the supply of essential goods and services including medicines.

Educational institutions in Surkhet district will be closed till January 28, vaccination cards will be made compulsory to get services in all public places, and pre-determined examinations of universities and educational institutions will be conducted in full compliance with public health standards.

It has been stated that regular monitoring will be carried out by the security forces regarding the effective compliance of the order regarding COVID-19 and if found to be disobedient, action will be taken as per the Infectious Diseases Act, 2020.
