Police impounded a tractor that was transporting 300 cartons of musk whisky in Chhipaharmai Municipality of Parsa district, on Thursday morning.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from Pokhariya-based Area Police Office checked the tractor (State 2-03 001 Tha) at Chhipahar-2 and seized the liquors being transported to India. Moreover, police seized the tractor while the driver reportedly fled the scene.
The seized contraband goods and the impounded tractor were handed over to Birgunj Tax Office for necessary action. Meanwhile, the search is on for the tractor owner and the driver, Parsa District Police Office informed.
