6,074 firearms, 177 twelve-bore guns, 1076 different types of pistols, 232 magnums, 29 air guns, 229 short guns, 333 guns, which were confiscated according to law from different dates and places. 626 rifles, 334 revolvers, 10 gas guns, 25 hornets and 84 undisclosed firearms totaling 8,896 weapons have been destroyed according to the law.
Weapons were destroyed in the presence of representatives of Inspector General of Police, Ministry of Home Affairs, District Administration Office Kathmandu, local representatives and others. The weapons were destroyed according to the law at the Nepal Police Central Special Task Force Kapan premises.
