The Government of Japan has provided grant assistance of Rs. 2.31 billion to Nepal.
According to the Ministry of Finance, such a grant exchange letter was signed on Thursday. The letter was signed by Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini and Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Kikuta Yutaka.
The grant amount provided by Japan will be spent on the implementation of Biratnagar Drinking Water Improvement Project, according to the Ministry. Japan is one of the largest donors to Nepal.
