Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that all eligible citizens will receive their vaccines against the coronavirus prior to the mid-term elections.
While talking to the media in Baluwatar today he mentioned that people should not relate the expenses for vaccines with that of holding the elections. The prime minister said that trying to stop the citizens from being able to exercise their sovereign rights by publicising unrelated issues could be termed sentimental blackmailing.
The right to exercise one’s sovereign rights and the right to healthcare are two completely different aspects, PM Oli reiterated.
He stated that the government has been making all possible efforts to provide the people with proper treatment and healthcare facilities. However, the campaign stating that people will not vote until they receive their vaccine is misguiding, Oli stated.
