Bara bus accident: Death toll reaches 7, 3 identified

The death toll from the bus accident that took place near the Churiyamai temple of Jitpur Simara sub-metropolis-22 in Bara today has reached seven.

District Police, Bara's spokesperson Dadhiram Neupane said, of the dead, three died on the spot while four succumbed to injuries amidst the medical treatment.

Among the victims, three are identified as Bijay Lal Pundit,41 of Loharpatti, Mahottari; Bahadur Singh, 67 and Mira Devi Singh, 65, of Rajasthan India while Identities of four are yet to be confirmed.

The bus en route to Janakpur from Kathmandu veered off the road and fell around 15 meters at 2:ooam today.

Three Nepali and 14 Indian citizens have been injured in the accident. They were heading to Janakpur after visiting the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu.

The injured are being treated in various health facilities in Hetauda.
