Lawmaker Binod Chaudhary has said the budget for the upcoming fiscal year represented the perceptions of political parties participating in the government.

Taking part in the discussion on budget for coming fiscal year 2o23/24 in today's meeting of the House of Representatives, Chaudhary shared the budget is not only guided from the thoughts of Nepali Congress but has its own limitations.

He mentioned that the budget has taken initiative to pursue 'Liberal Economic Policy' adopted by NC and private sector, adding the initiative taken by the Finance Minister to reduce general expenditure was positive.

Although the budget is not big in terms of size, it is challenging in view of income and expenditure situation of the current fiscal year, stated Chaudhary.

He argued that the budget has put forward 'working modality' with new thought and perception to make the capital expenditure effective. These should be taken as positive indications of the budget.

Raising the question why a permanent and reliable supply arrangement could not be made to meet the total demand of Nepal on the basis of G2G in distribution of chemical fertilizer as like of petroleum products, he viewed that chemical fertilizer factory could be established by bringing gas pipeline from India or Bangladesh for permanent resolution of the problem.

Lawmaker Chaudhary welcomed the issue of forwarding the activities for feasibility study and preparation for the establishment of model resident community school in Dhankuta, Bardibas, Tansen, Surkhet and Dadelhura districts each adopting the operation modality of Budhanilkantha School of Kathmandu and Gandaki Boarding School, Pokhara.
