The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has opened vacancies for 164 positions at the authority. The vacancies have been opened for candidates who will be vying through the open competition and on the reservation quota.
Meanwhile, the authority has said the vacancies have been opened for candidates who will be competing through the open competition and through internal competition.
Of the total vacancies opened most of them are for the senior officer’s position. A total of 34 vacancies have been announced for this position among which 19 will be selected through open competition, five through the women’s quota, and four through the Adivasi and Janajati quota. Similarly, three slots have been reserved for Madhesi quota, and one each for Dalit, differently-abled, and remote regions.
The vacancies for the senior officer’s positions are for the air traffic services under the technical department of CAAN.
The civil aviation regulatory body has also opened vacancies for 18 positions for the air fire services department. CAAN has mentioned that 10 candidates for this department will be selected through open competition and the remaining through the reservation quota. This particular vacancy is for the fourth level assistant position.
Similarly, CAAN has also opened three vacancies each for the senior officer’s position in the civil and mechanical engineering departments, among other vacancies.
