CCMC discusses strategy to control pandemic

The meeting of COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) today focused on making the mechanism for preventing the transmission of coronavirus infection.

The CCMC meeting held at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers discussed the latest situation of the pandemic and the next strategy to prevent and control it.

Present in the meeting were Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal, Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa, CCMC Chief Balananda Sharma and secretaries of various ministries.

Lately, the infection rate is increasing. The country recorded 3,611 new infection cases and 27 deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
