The effect of this system will continue for a few more days, said Manju Basi, a meteorologist at the Department of Water and Meteorology. "There is a possibility of changing weather from next Friday," he said.
The department has issued warning and advice for the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in a few places in Province 1, Province 2, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
The department has requested to take necessary precautions to avoid cold and snowfall. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous terrain of Gandaki and Province 1 with partial cloud cover on Thursday.
According to the latest details of the Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley today is 7.7 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 18.7 degrees Celsius. Similarly, the minimum temperature in Jumla today is -4.3 degrees Celsius.
