Chance of rain and snow due to westerly winds

Currently, the country is under the influence of westerly winds. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in a few places in the hilly areas and light snowfall in the high hills and mountains for the next three days.

It has been feeling a bit cold in the sky of Kathmandu since morning. There have been sporadic rain in the morning. The department has also requested to take necessary precautions as the possibility of rain and snow could further increase the temperature.

According to the Division, there is partial to a general change in the hilly terrain of Far Western Province, Karnali Province and other provinces at present. Also, the fog has covered the western and eastern Terai region. In the afternoon, there will be partial to normal cloud cover across the country. There is a possibility of light rain in a few places in the hilly region. There is a possibility of light snowfall in some parts of the high hills and mountains of the country.

During the night, there will be partial to normal cloud cover across the country. There is a possibility of light rain in one or two places of Province No. 1, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province and Far Western Province. There is a possibility of snowfall in high hilly and mountainous areas, the department said.

There is a possibility of light rain in some parts of every state on Friday with partial to moderate cloud cover. There is a possibility of light snowfall in some parts of the high hills and mountains of the country. According to the latest details of the department, the maximum temperature in Kathmandu today is 5.2 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 18 degrees Celsius.
