Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has vowed to make the national economy dynamic. For it, the Finance Ministry will ensure congruity between monetary and financial policies, he added.

Inaugurating the 29th annual general meeting of Nepal-German Industry and Commerce Association in the federal capital on Friday, Finance Minister Mahat shared that the government was devoted to preventing further pressure on the national economy. It is essential to create a positive atmosphere in the economic sector, and he has prioritized it. Private sectors' cooperation is essential for it, he hoped.

Efforts would be forwarded to work together with the central bank to ensure harmony between the fiscal and monetary policies so that it would enable the atmosphere to address economic problems, according to Finance Minister Mahat. He further informed that he was working actively to end the problems faced by the industrial sector on interest rates.

Dr Mahat sought suggestions from the private sector in the wake of preparation for next year's budget.

On the occasion, the trade houses making maximum exports in the last fiscal year were provided letters of appreciation by the Minister.

Senior Vice President of FNCCI Chandra Dhakal extended best wishes to the AGM. He underscored the need for changing the government 's perspective towards the private sector. Private sector needs the government's cooperation to boost export, he argued.
