Construction of hospital buildings at three local levels of Myagdi has just started. After completing the land management, technical preparation and contract process, construction of a hospital building with a capacity of 10 beds has been started at Arman Hadebhir of Mangala Municipality, Doba of Annapurna Municipality, and Takam of Dhawalagiri Municipality.
Work has not started even after one year of the decision to build a hospital building in Ward No. 1 Beg of Raghuganga Municipality based on the majority of the village council. Ombuddha International Construction, which has signed a contract for the construction of two 35-room two-storey buildings.
According to Sujan Poudel, an engineer of the village municipality, the contract was signed on June 23 2021. The target is to complete the construction of two buildings by June 23, 2023. Rabina-Amit JV had signed a contract for the construction of Annapurna building on May 10, 2078 BS at a cost of Rs. Engineer Ishwar Bahadur Bhandari of Annapurna village municipality said that the two had agreed to complete the construction of the building in September 2079 BS.
BM-IS-AC JV Burtibang Baglung has won the contract for the construction of a 16-room building of a five-bed capacity hospital at Takalam of Dhawalagiri at a cost of Rs. Engineer Sobin GC of Dhawalagiri Village Municipality said that the duo aims to complete the construction of the 16-room building by July 30, 2010.
All earthquake resistant buildings including emergency, inpatient, outdoor, laboratory, administrative, medicine storage, separate rooms for treatment will be disability friendly. After the construction of the building, a well-equipped hospital will be run in the rural areas to provide quality health services, said the people's representatives.
Preparations have been made to upgrade the primary health center in Darbang, the center of Malika, to a hospital. There is a 50-bed capacity district hospital in Beni Municipality, the district headquarters. The construction of the 50-bed capacity building of the hospital under the state government has not been completed for four years.
