Demand to pass impeachment against suspended Chief Justice

The Human Rights and Peace Society has demanded to take legal action against the suspended Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana by passing the impeachment motion filed in the parliament. More than 200 human rights activists from different districts participated in the meeting held at Kapilvastu's Banganga on March 11 and 12.

He informed that the meeting passed eight resolutions calling for quality health care and scientific education: the right of all. The meeting also demanded to take special initiative for the cleansing of the court by passing an impeachment motion against the suspended Chief Justice Rana and remove him.

 The meeting called on Russia to immediately withdraw its troops, stop fighting and contribute to the survival of the Ukrainian people and all people in Ukraine. The meeting also passed a resolution regarding the limits of involvement of the members and office bearers of the Central Working Committee and District Working Committee of the Peace Society in various bodies as an impartial body.

 The meeting was concluded on the morning of March 11 with a symbolic cleansing program on the river Wanganga. It is said that half a dozen programs including blood donation, peace rally and lighting of peace lamps have been organized in this area. All the expenses of the program were collected and borne by the Kapilvastu branch at the local level.
