In several acts of inhumane murders across the nation, Eight people were found dead in different districts including two in Kathmandu today, according to the Police Headquarters. The death toll has risen in Kathmandu, Sankhuwasabha, Nawalparasi (west), Taplejung, Terhathum, Siraha and Nawalparasi (east).
Harka Bahadur Giri, 50, of Sindhupalchowk Melamchi Municipality-9 was found dead at a guest house at Mitranagar of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 today, according to police. Giri had been staying at the guest house since Monday and was found dead inside his room. A 22-year-old man was also found dead inside an old microbus parked at Koteshwor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, police said.
Meanwhile, 40-year-old Mahesh Rai of Khandbari Municipality-1 of Sankhuwasabha has been found dead. His body was found lying on the terrace of Jagat Rai's house in Dadare, police said. One person has been arrested. Dinesh Tharu, 28, of Bardaghat Municipality-5, Nawalparasi (West) was found dead in a field near his house and a man was found dead at the headwaters of Narayani River at Nawalparasi (East), according to the Police Headquarters.
Similarly, Tikaram Rai, 67, of Pedang in Sirijangha VDC-5 of Taplejung was found dead near his house, according to police. The body was found during a search operation after he did not return to the mill till evening. Line Bahadur Limbu, 55, of Bhogteni in Phedap VDC-1 of Tehrathum was found dead under Kalidah Bhir in the same place. His body was found during a search operation after he did not return home after going to work on Tuesday.
A 40-year-old woman was found dead on the bank of Bhalukhola River in Mirchaiya Municipality-7 of Siraha district. Police said that all the incidents are being investigated.
Similarly, a 16-month-old boy was stabbed to death in Syangja earlier today.
