Fire control training at Shuklaphanta Park

Fire control training has been provided to the staff and military teams of three parks including Shuklaphanta National Park in Kanchanpur.

In collaboration with the National Nature Conservation Fund, a four-day training has been conducted for the front-line staff in the fire control work in Banke, Bardia and Shuklaphanta National Parks. The head of National Nature Conservation Fund Kanchanpur, Lakshmiraj Joshi, informed that training has been provided to the military team of Rudradhwaj Gana deployed to protect the three national parks and the parks here.

There are 35 people participating in the training and the training team is also being given the practice of forest fire control inside the park. Even before this type of training has been conducted by various concerned agencies. He said, "This is the first time that a four-day training for the employees of three parks has been conducted here."

The senior game scouts of the park along with the military team are participating in the training. With the onset of summer, there will be a problem of fire in the parks and community forests here, so training has been provided for its mitigation and management, according to the National Nature Conservation Fund. Every summer there are wildfires in Shuklaphanta National Park.
