Returnees from neighboring and other third countries would be mandatorily kept in quarantine and isolation in Myagdi for 10 days.
An all-side meeting held at Myagdi District Administration Office on Wednesday developed a 15-point decision and guideline for the preparation, precaution, and management to check the possible outbreaks of coronavirus. The meeting has made it mandatory for the returnees to stay in quarantine or isolation for 10 days.
Chief District Officer Ganesh Bahadur Adhikari shared that the arrangement has been made to keep the returnees entering into the district in quarantine as the second wave of coronavirus transmission in India could also put Nepal at risk.
Four Indian workers serving in the under-construction Nilgirikhola hydropower project of Annapurna rural municipality-4, Narchyang were diagnosed with coronavirus on Tuesday.
Acting In-charge of District Health Office, Myagdi Ek Narayan Lamsal shared that the decision regarding quarantine was made when the workers from India contracted the virus. The meeting has decided to fully enforce health protocol, compulsory use of masks, resume quarantines and isolation centers at the local level and expand the scope of PCR test.
