Former Minister Moti Prasad Pahadi died of COVID-19 infection while undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital this morning.
According to Bheri Hospital Chief Dr Prakash Thapa, the 77-year-old Pahadi breathed his last today morning at 1:40.
A resident of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-10 in Banke district, Pahadi was admitted to Bheri Hospital last Wednesday after the oxygen level in his body dropped.
Infected with COVID-19, he was availing treatment against it in home isolation. Also, the patient with high blood pressure and diabetes was rushed to hospital after he developed complications after the oxygen level in his body plummeted.
He was also suffering from high blood pressure and diabetics. Pahadi had served as the Minister for Forests and Land Conservation and Minister for Supply.
Pahadi was also appointed as the Minister of State for Law in the government led by Sher Bahadur Deuba in 2053 BS as well as also served as the Minister for Forests and Soil Conservation and Minister for Supplies.
The final rites of Pahadi will be performed today, informed District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre’s focal person Tej Oli.
