Four held with illegal drugs in Kaski, Nawalparasi

Kaski police on Thursday morning arrested two youths in possession of 200gm of Marijuana from Newroad in Pokhara Metropolitan City-8.

The arrested have been identified as Prince Magar (20), a resident of Jaljala Rural Municipality-6 in Dhading district, and Ranjan Chaudhary, a 20-year-old Indian national from Motihari.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel arrested them in possession of the substance.

Meanwhile, police in Nawalparasi on Thursday afternoon arrested two youths in possession of 65 Nurfin ampules, 65 Phenergan ampules, 65 Diazepam ampules, 300 Nitravet tablets from Daunne in Tribeni Rural Municipality-2.

The arrested have been identified as Sudip Poudel (25) and Aakash Thapa (25), both residents of Devchuli Municipality-3 in Nawalparasi district.

They were riding on a motorcycle with vehicle registration number NA 52 PA 9458. Security personnel deployed from the Tribeni-based Police Office arrested them with the substance during a routine vehicle check, informed Gandaki Province-based Pokhara Police Office.

Further investigation into the cases is underway, said the police.
