Mayor Hari Bahadur Mahat informed that the free vehicle service has been introduced to take bodies to cremation sites within the sub-metropolis. The sub-metropolitan city has recently purchased a dedicated vehicle/van to ferry bodies at the cost of over Rs 2.33 million.
Mayor Mahat further shared that the vehicle would also provide service to carry the bodies of those who died after drowning in rivers or rivulets, hanging from somewhere, and consuming poison to hospitals for post-mortem purposes.
CIAA, Hetauda office shows 55 % progress
According to the office, the anti-graft constitutional body had redressed 516 out of 929 complaints of different types registered at its office.
Bara district saw the highest number of complaints at the CIAA office while Bhaktapur witnessed only one complaint in the fiscal year
