The Gokarneshwor Municipality of Kathmandu district has closed schools for four days citing the rising cases of conjunctivitis.
Issuing a notice on Monday, the municipality informed that all schools would remain closed from August 15 to August 18.
The municipality took this decision after the school teachers, employees and students began suffering from the eye disease, according to Municipality Mayor Dip Kumar Risal.
The conjunctivitis has been spreading in many parts of the country of late, resulting into closure of schools to avoid its further spread.
