Health workers added in infectious hospitals

Nelumbo Nepal Pokhara, which has been working in the field of health, has provided manpower to the hospital to assist in the treatment of patients as the risk of a new variant of coronavirus, Omicron, is increasing.

Nelumbo has provided four health workers to the Infectious and Communicable Diseases Hospital established by the Gandaki state government in Pokhara. Corona patients are currently being treated at the hospital.

An agreement was reached between Nelumbo Chairman Ekdev Devkota and the hospital's executive director Dr. Vikas Gauchan on Wednesday regarding the provision of manpower. As the third wave with the new variant has infected most people as well as health workers, staff nurses and radiographers have been provided to the hospital one by one and two lab technicians, said Devkota. According to him, the manpower to be provided to the hospital for six months has been recruited.

He said, "We have recruited the manpower provided by the hospital to fight Corona. We will send them to the hospital for services." It is said that Rs. 7 lakh will be spent for providing health workers in the hospital for six months. Chairman Devkota informed that the health facilities established by Nelumbo Kovid-19 Isolation Ward will be provided health care materials as per the need and capacity of the organization in the coming days as well.

The organization also donated 500 disposable masks, 500 KN 95 masks, 20 liters of sanitizer, 10 pulse oximeters, 10 packs of disposable gloves, 10 packs of PPEs, 10 spray bottles, 10 batteries, two Covid-19 awareness banners, and other assistance to the hospital.
