Heavy rainfall predicted in some places of four provinces

There has been continuing effects of the monsoon winds across the country and the low pressure line of the monsoon is still in and around average position.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology informed that the weather is generally cloudy across the country at present.

Light to moderate rainfall is taking place at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

According to the Department, there will be generally cloudy weather throughout the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of all the provinces.

Heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Similarly, it will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces in the next 24 hours.

The Department has urged the general public to remain alert in view of possible partial impact on agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transportation including the daily life in these places.

Meanwhile, in the last six hours, the Department has spent the last six hours in Morang, Dhankuta and Gandaki provinces of Koshi Province.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rainfall had occurred in and around Morang, Dhankuta of Koshi province and Lamjung of Gandaki province in the last six hours.

Likewise, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga and other parts of Koshi province, Saptari and adjoining areas of Madhes province, Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Nuwakot of Bagmati province and Gorkha, Kaski of Gandaki province, as well as some parts of Lumbini and Karnali provinces received rainfall.
