Home minister holds meeting with law ministers of all seven provinces

Home Minister Khagraj Adhikari today held a meeting with the ministers of Internal Affairs and Law of all seven provinces.

Home Minister Khagraj Adhikari today held a meeting with the ministers of Internal Affairs and Law of all seven provinces. The meeting was held to discuss on disaster management, prevention and control of COVID-19, and the security situation of the various places in the country.

Janak Raj Dahal, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs, informed that Minister Adhikari asked the provincial ministers to focus on how rescue and relief efforts could be made more effective in the affected regions. The home minister also directed the provincial ministers to look into ways on how relief could be provided in a quicker manner.

Dahal mentioned that after taking suggestions and feedback from the provincial ministers the Home Ministry will apply them to frame a more efficient mechanism to deal with the rescue and relief efforts. He said that the provincial ministers informed Home Minister Adhikari about the steps that had been taken to provide relief to those people who had been affected by the recent floods and landslides.

The provincial ministers also informed the home minister about the various measures taken to control the spread of the COVID-19 in the provinces, as per Dahal. He said that the ministers also apprised the home minister about the security situation in the respective provinces.
