The body has been identified six days after it was found in the forest of Apgachhi area of Dharan-4 on the Dharan-Dhankuta section of the Koshi Highway. The body was found separately in two bags. The body belonged to Deepak Sigdel of Damak-5, Jhapa, said District Police Office Inspector Sanjay Singh Thapa.
According to Indra Gurung, Ward Chairman of Damak Municipality-5, it has been revealed that Sigdel got his passport from Damak-5 and his citizenship certificate from Chulachuli of Ilam. Despite the police search, no one knew him in Damak, said Ward Chairman Gurung. According to police, he went to his brother's house and it is suspected that he may have been killed due to family reasons. Inspector Thapa informed that the person involved in the incident will be made public soon. The body was found in two bags in the forest of Apaganchi area of Dharan-4 last Wednesday and Thursday.
Police had made a sketch picture to identify the body and made it public. The Federal Police Unit and Area Police Office are investigating the incident.
